Augmented Reality

Challenge

Keeping internal stakeholders informed and engaged was critical to the success of maintaining flawless operational execution across many of my programs. Given the volume of new initiatives that were launched to hotels every year, meant we needed new, creative and cost effective ways to engage with these stakeholders to keep our initiatives relative.

For large conferences and events, collateral such as coasters, mugs, deck of cards, etc. were enhanced using a Hotel Labs Augmented Reality app. They would be embedded with the specific message that was intended for the audience, such as links to training materials, or to sign up for a program. These give-aways were taken back to the hotel or corporate offices, and activated to further engage additional team member. Analytics were captured on each activation, providing insights into post event usage, and even geo-correlation to specific hotels.

Each activation would create buzz and generate additional ideas and new requests. This momentum allowed us to organically understand and implement AR experiences, in a controlled environment, before making a broader reaching, consumer experience.
